Introduction to women studies has been interesting and enjoying. I have learned a lot from the chapter readings. I look at women’s life as how black men are treated in society. Women are being taken advantage of just about anywhere. Example men have this judgment about women’s knowledge on cars. Most men think women have no knowledge about cars, so women are told many false things that are wrong with their car. Unequal pay because of sex, a woman’s place is in the kitchen, domestic chores are women’s job and so on… Many of the topics have me thinking about life and the many different obstacles that are out in the world to test and stop women from achieving their goals.
This has proven how scared, weak and evil men could be over power and control. They feel the need to be on top and be dominant because this is what they are taught and built to do. In my view, the ones that have power and control are women. We endured many pain and sufferings. We pick ourselves up when we are down. We used to need men to help us bring home the bread, now we do it ourselves and also care for family members in the home. There many single mothers out there that work hard go to school and come home to care for their children and maintaining a house hold without the help or present of a man. This goes to prove how strong women are, even from the beginning and we will not stop. But reading about women rights and the events that happened before my time and to present; has made me realized that I am glad to be a woman and to be a part of this unequal justice that is created by men.
