This quote here I had found on the website called ShoutWire, a site where people comment and view about women’s movement/feminist. This comment was made by a man in retrospect to a woman’s comment.
“Men make the rules, build everything, develop everything, control most of the money, grow the food, and fight the wars. Show me a successful matriarchal society and I’ll blow myself. That being said, equality should mean equal opportunity. Women have that and more. In a realistic world, it’d be 50cents to the dollar. Men throw the extra 35 cents in case you’ve got tits.”
After I had read his comment I see why it is hard for women to be treated respectably and given the credentials that we deserve. He clearly states that men basically do everything. Well of course they do, because every time we want to express our voice and ideas we get shot down. There can never be a successful matriarchal society because we never had given the chance. Today there are many matriarchal women who are single mothers that are the head of family and are recognized by their community and other people. Its men like this guy here with his ignorant thoughts and comments that make us so inferior to them and society. I believe if we were given the chance to be treated equal and that is equal opportunity, equal rights and equality; women might build a better society then men. They always have to make gender remarks about our sex characteristics to disrespect us as a female, by saying, “Men throw in the extra 35 cents because we have tits.” Seriously men never grow up. This type of attitude and ignorance is what make it hard for women to earn the respect we deserve.
